In order to see e-mails sent out regarding British Grand Prix, please see below;

Group E-mail 1;

To all my wonderful SRC persons!!

At last - a plan is coming together!!! If you would care to look at our website and click on the British Grand Prix icon on the home page, you will be able to see loads of information about this year's FOSTER'S BRITISH GRAND PRIX - you can download all this information if you wish although much of it will land with your tickets in the post. If you are coming to the Circuit this weekend for World Superbikes, please e-mail me to let me know so I can have your tickets ready for collection as this will save the postage!!

Sorry to say, the Pig Roast is now fully booked, same for the Campsite and the grandstand - you can still buy tickets through the Circuit Office however - please call 08704 588 300 if you need more.

Those coming to the campsite please ensure you fully understand the instructions for driving to the site as, if you get in the wrong lane, you will be wrong place, wrong time!!!!!

Those of you who are attending the Grand Prix, I do hope you are looking forward to what is going to be an amazing weekend. At the moment I am trying my best to organise the weather for it too!!!!!!!!!! - but if that goes to pot - don't blame me! Your tickets will be sent early next week - along with passes for those who have purchased additional memberships to cover your extra guests/friends - PLEASE can I ask that you carefully check your tickets to ensure they are correct and call me urgently in the event they are incorrect so I have a chance to rectify - my numbers are below;

In the meantime - get on with your work and I will do the same!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing you!

Kindest regards

Janet

Dear SRC members!

Well, my last e-mail certainly put the cat among the pigeons - but at least it proves you read them!!! For your information there are a couple of minor changes to both the grandstand plan and the camp site plan - please check these from the web site. To all intents and purposes, these plans are now final. If I have overlooked your preferred choice of seat/plot, then please accept my apologies - as you can imagine, it has not been an easy task trying to accomodate everyone's wishes and I hope I have managed to at least get most of them granted.

Furthermore, as I sit here in the office with the rain pouring down outside, I would like to advise you of a website you might like to check - it is;

www.metcheck.com - put the postal code of NN128TN to get the weather forecast - at the moment it goes up to Fri 9th June and tells us that this day will dawn like this!!

Fri 9 Jun Morning 19 °c 0.0 mm 77 % 3 mph 1020 mb
Afternoon 20 °c 0.0 mm 98 % 7 mph 1018 mb
Night 12 °c 0.0 mm 94 % 8 mph 1017 mb

However, keep an eye on it as the pressure is falling so we might be in for some showers over the GP weekend. Those of you attending the BRDC Pig/Hog Roast on Saturday evening, please be advised that the dress code is smart casual but can I please also say that no frayed jeans, baseball caps or trainers are to be worn - likewise I don't recommend stiletto heels (for men OR women!) as you will be on grass!

For those of you who are not on e-mail and for any other changes to plans, schedules etc - there will be a notice board in the Clubhouse for any further information to be posted up - please take a look at it over the GP weekend. If any of you are still looking for camping space - please contact WOODLANDS on 01280 814699 - they are to the south of the Circuit and still have spaces.

Those of you attending the GP, please also put my mobile phone number into yours so you have it to hand should you need to contact me - the number is;

07920 492054 - Janet Work Mobile

In the meantime - I will get on with the mailing which should leave the Circuit on Tuesday if you do not collect over this weekend!

Kind regards

Janet

Well - are you getting excited yet???? Here is yet another e-mail to you all about arrangements for the 2006 Foster's British Grand Prix - anyone placed bets on two British drivers taking podium places???!!!

First of all, there have been some amendments to the Grand Prix page of our website and you will see I have now posted the latest timetable on the website along with the list of entrants for the HSCC Support Race. Sorry to say, the bronze admission tickets are now fully sold out along with our grandstand and, if anyone is still looking for tickets, I advise you to go onto www.silverstone.co.uk to see availability and prices - I have no more tickets to sell now. Please also be advised that there will be no single day tickets for sale.

Sorry to sound like an old nag however, as YOU - our members, have paid to be members of an exclusive club we would like to stipulate a few rules. Upon arrival at the marquee, you will be asked to sign your name, membership number and number of guests. This must be done each day first time you visit.

Whenever you are in the clubhouse, marquee or grandstand, you MUST have your member pass clearly visible around your neck - same goes for your guests. Security will be checking during the course of the weekend that the clubhouse is only being used by SRC/BRDC members and their guests - in the event that security find someone in attendance who is not an SRC/BRDC member or member of SRC staff, they will have my full authority to remove them from the premises. If you want to bring friends or extra guests in, please contact me to organise an extra membership in time - thank you.

Use of the Grandstand - AIR HORNS are NOT permitted on the grandstand - they are annoying, unnecessary and can cause damage to the person in front (or you if the person in front doesn't like it!) Same also goes for big flags being waved in front of other people's faces. 10 Minutes prior to the start of the race, the grandstand stairways will be closed until after the race has commenced. If you are late getting to your seat, you will have to wait until after the race has begun.

Smoking is not permitted in the marquee or clubhouse - please use the terrace or area around the grandstand. It would be greatly appreciated if you could also use the bins provided throughout to keep the place tidy during the weekend - otherwise it makes more work for us!!!

OK - so that is my nag over - hope you understand the reasoning behind it all! Now, I try my hardest to be efficient but sometimes a plan doesn't come together! You should all now be in receipt of GP tickets if you have ordered them through me - please double check them. Also - can I please mention family members - if you have children under the age of 12 and didn't put your request for them in but require child bronze tickets, please e-mail me as soon as possible to let me know so I can get them to you!

Likewise - if you haven't already booked a locker but would like to reserve one for the weekend, please e-mail me to let me know and the locker keys will be kept ready for collection from the 'shop' - situated in the clubhouse where the old bar used to be - same applies to the grandstand upgrade tickets for those of you who have ordered them.

In the meantime - the landscape here at Silverstone is changing rapidly - if you booked Luffield seats you will be pleased to know the new grandstands are complete, the marquees are going up all over the place and ours is REALLY big !!!!!!!!

I am looking forward to seeing you all here and hope you all have a safe journey

Kindest regards

Janet

Hi Folks!

Sorry, this is yet another e-mail to add to your ever-growing INBOX! Just a short one though!

First of all, there have been a few changes to the Grandstand and Camping Plans and the details have been updated on the website - you do not need your password to access this - from the home page simply click on the Grand Prix 2006 icon and you are straight in. A revised timetable has also been posted which replaces the earlier one along with a revised pig roast list and a list of those who have booked lockers. Some of you will receive a letter over the next few days with details of revision to seating plan - PLEASE co-operate with this for the sake of my sanity! Likewise, no further requests for seat changes please!!!!!!!!!! I will amend the booking form for next year and start planning it now!

Now some good news - we had a visit yesterday from Lord Maxwell Beaverbrook who is one of the new directors on the Board of the BRDC. He has promised to come into our club on the Friday of the Grand Prix to mingle and meet you. Then on Saturday we have the honour of meeting with Sir Jack Brabham - the first Formula One driver to be knighted for his services to motorsport. He hopes to be with us around 12 o'clock on Saturday to spend some time here and to enjoy a glass of bubbly in celebration of his 80th birthday. As for Sunday - well - I am working on it - we have a character coming in and that is all I am prepared to say!

Added to this - today the sun is shining and it looks as though it might stay with us for the Grand Prix - marvellous! Oh - and to those of you who are camping over the weekend, don't forget that we are going to be open on Monday from 0900hrs through till 2pm if you want to join us for breakfast/brunch - this invitation has been extended to the BRDC and Circuit staff also so might be a good opportunity to mull over the weekend before you set off for home. We have no confirmed teams yet for testing on Tues-Thurs 13-15 June - but here is a reminder that it is taking place.

Thank you - have a good weekend!

Janet

GROUP E-MAIL 5;

Dear SRC people!

A quick note to advise that lockers are now fully booked for Grand Prix, weather forecast looks excellent and ticket sales have soared in the past few weeks making for a busy and, hopefully, atmospheric weekend!

I have recently input a lot of new members into our system and therefore this may be the first group e-mail some of you have the joy of experiencing. I have, however, updated our website so that you can all see the group e-mails which have been circulated about the Foster's British Grand Prix 2006 - click here. I should also like to advise new members who wish to access the Member's Pit Stop that your membership number must be used in full along with the password silverstone the first time you use this. It will then ask you to choose an alternative password of your own. New members, please click on the Grand Prix icon on the home page of our site in order to see the information concerning this event.

F1 Tyre Testing 13-15 June - so far, only Midland F1 have committed to being at testing directly after the Grand Prix - this may change and I will amend as and when I hear. Our Club will be open from 0900hrs each morning for testing - car parking will be at our INSIDE carpark - no ticket required. You will not be able to leave your car by the Club as the Trade Mall will be in the process of being broken down.

Finally, don't forget that breakfast on Monday 12th June will be 'chez nous' from 0900hrs for those of you still around and for anyone who would like to attend but did not come to the Grand Prix - you are more than welcome if you want to pop in for a chat about the event!

See you soon!

Janet
